Who we are
Ekta Lund (ektalund_pt) is the founder of Pranna Health. Ekta comes from a strong Orthopedic Manual therapy background with clinical experience in outpatient settings working with clients of all age groups from pediatrics, to adults and geriatrics! After graduating from University of Pittsburgh’s (Yes, she loves the Steelers!) elite physical therapy program, Ekta got interested in the IPA (Institute of Physical Arts) model and became a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT).
Ekta gained interest in Pelvic floor Physical therapy through her experiences with patients. She saw the link between pelvic health and musculoskeletal diagnoses. Ekta has continued to explore manual therapy through visceral mobilisation techniques and uses different breathing sciences to help patients.
She is continuing to diversify her approach through continuing education classes through PRI- postural restoration institute, Dry Needling techniques, Corrective Exercise specialization.
Ekta loves hiking and is an avid runner. She has also participated in a few half marathons and finished the Chicago full marathon in 2022. Her last noteworthy hikes were fourteener at Mt Elbert in Colorado and Salkantay hike to Machu Picchu, Peru. She has started gaining interest in biking and successfully completed a duathlon in 2023 and a sprint triathlon in 2025.
Why us
Its because of our Mantra - Go beyond the basic. We uncover the why behind your pain and dysfunction. Our integrative approach combines advanced orthopedic manual therapy with specialized pelvic floor rehabilitation allowing us to treat the body as a connected, intelligent system — not just isolated parts.
Led by Ekta Lund, PT, MSPT, CFMT, CKTP, one of the few therapists in the U.S. certified in Functional Manual Therapy (CFMT), and Institute of Physical Arts (IPA), we regularly utilizes these treatment approaches in all aspects of care where the emphasis is on hands-on treatment techniques and specific exercises to address impairment of mechanical capacity of patient's joints, soft tissues and impairment of neuromuscular function. A quote from the founders of IPA puts it very well “Functional Manual Therapy® is an integrated and artistic intervention which couples mechanical treatment of the joints, soft tissues, visceral and neurovascular systems with manual neuromuscular facilitation to enhance optimum motor control and human function.” — Gregg Johnson and Vicky Saliba FMT® Founders. We understand that issues like pain, leakage, tension, or restriction are often symptoms of deeper imbalances — and we’re here to help you resolve them at the root.
